The artworks in this series demonstrate an exploration into the relationship between artist and material.

Chris gets most excited when he starts to see the pre-used building materials and art supplies morphing into one another. This creates a gap in his work as an alignment between intention, process and technique breaks down. It is this gap which makes the outcome of each artwork exciting and interesting. This working process reinvents the pre-used building materials allowing them to become something else and enabling a new beginning as a work of art.
