MORTAR BOARDS

Mortar boards are an excellent tool for bricklayers as it improves job efficiency by keeping liquid where it belongs in the mortar. A mortar board also reduces the time and effort needed to retemper the materials. It is a tool that Chris works with occasionally when helping his father on the building site. The mortar board is chosen because it is based on a reaction of visual indifference, which can conjure up mixed thoughts. The act of choosing the mortar board is a creative act in itself and by removing it's useful function as a building tool, it becomes a work of art.
